COMPOUND BROCHURE

Research a COMPOUND OR GROUP OF SIMILAR COMPOUNDS and design a brochure that will describe your compounds.

 

Ø      Be creative in drawing your compounds with its formulas, dot diagrams (if possible), molecular structures.

Ø      Describe features of the compounds such as melting point freezing points, boiling points, hardness, tensile strength, reactivity. 

Ø      Include who discovered it, when it was discovered and under what circumstances, if known.

Ø      Have another section for how it is produced or mined or formulated and who produces it. (company name, if possible)

Ø      Have a section on it uses, and importance to the economy.

Ø      Include the cost of the compounds to buy it.

Ø      Use pictures, diagrams.

Ø      Use a piece of paper and fold it into thirds.

Ø      Grading scale:

Ø          A   -  clearly written, well organized brochure. Has pictures, drawings and all necessary information.  Other people would want to pick it up to read.  Shows a lot of interest and effort put into the project

 

          B   - Generally well written brochure but does not include all the information and is less attractive.

 

         C- Poorly written brochure without appropriate information/pictures.  Not organized.  Little effort put into the task.
